What does this application do?

Our app converts PowerPoint slides into videos with AI-powered, realistic voiceovers, making it perfect for presentations, tutorials, and marketing.

Features

How many voices are available?

pptalk includes 318 neural voices across 74 languages — including Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, and Hindi. You can browse the full voice library in the app, filter by language and gender, and preview any voice online.

Can I customize the voiceover?

You can adjust volume (0–100) and speaking speed (0.5×–2.0×) per project, and save your favorite voices for quick access. AI voice cloning / custom voice training is not supported yet — we are considering it for the future.

Usage

What file formats are supported?

The application supports .pptx files for slide conversion.

How long does video generation take?

Video generation time depends on the number of slides and the complexity of animations but typically completes in minutes.

Are animations in PowerPoint supported?

Yes. pptalk exports slides through the PowerPoint engine, so native transitions, animations, and motion effects are all preserved in the video.

How do subtitles work?

Subtitles are generated by a local speech-recognition model — no internet connection is required. The model (~480 MB) is downloaded on demand with a progress bar. You can edit every subtitle's text and timeline in the built-in editor, optionally refine them with AI, and burn them into the video with one of 4 style presets.

Can I use my own AI model?

Yes. pptalk works with any OpenAI-compatible API — Ollama, local models, or cloud providers. Just set the Base URL, model name, and API Key in Settings, and use the built-in connection test to verify.

Can I organize multiple projects?

Yes. Collections let you group projects by topic, and you can re-parse a project with one click when the source PPT file changes. pptalk also watches the file and notifies you when it is modified externally.

Can I save my scripts back into the PPT file?

Yes — with one click, edited scripts are written back into the speaker notes of the original .pptx file.

Is there a free version?

Yes. The free plan includes 30 minutes of video generation per month (30 minutes = 1800 credits), with full access to all 318 voices. See the Pricing Page for details.
